The TV viewers are not able to hear your conversation with the on-screen presenter on TV. However, the callers who call the Live TV Chat line will have the option to eavesdrop live conversation between the caller and on-screen presenter.

You will be in a queue to talk to the selected on-screen presenter. While waiting to connect, you will be given an option to eavesdrop the live conversation between caller and the presenter.

The VIP Q-jump line gives you quick access to connect to on-screen presenter. Use the VIP Q-jump service to move to the highest available position along with other VIP callers and ahead of all standard rate callers.

Yes, you are able to send message to Flirt Hosts who are offline. However, they will only reply to you when they come online. Therefore, it is advisable to send message to online Flirt Hosts to get immediate response.

Members Chat is a voice exchange service where you can exchange voice messages with members or Flirt Hosts.

Call the flirtXchange Members Chat number displayed on the 'Phone Chat' page. Our voice prompts will guide you through recording your voice description or browsing other caller descriptions and connecting live with another caller.

You only get a few seconds to record your greeting, so you should simply introduce yourself. Example: "Hi, I'm Sandy from New York. I like watching movies and going to bars". Once you've recorded your own description you'll be ready to browse others and respond whenever you choose.

Yes. You can send a voice message to whomever you like the sound of, they can reply back and so on, or you can choose to connect 1-2-1 with a caller.

Your description or greeting message is automatically kept on record to save you time when you call again from the same phone. You also have the option to erase and rerecord greeting messages if you desire.

You can either reply politely to say you're not interested, you can ignore it or you can block the caller after you have received a message from the caller.

There are live moderators on the calls at all times, but their job is only to prevent any abusive or offensive behaviour. If this occurs, the caller will be cut off. Calls are also recorded.

Your telephone number cannot be seen or obtained by other callers to the service.

To join a chatroom:

1. Click 'WebCamChat' from the top navigation bar of the site.
2. Select a room you'd like to join
3. You can join the room by clicking the 'JOIN ROOM' button.

Please note! The chat window will open in a pop up window so you will need to have pop-ups enabled on your browser.

All you need to do is start typing messages in the field located below the main chat window and press 'Send'. Your message will then appear within the chat.

You will need Adobe Flash Player 9.0+ in order to view our chat application. The Adobe Flash Player is a plugin for your web browser which allows you to view Flash content on the web (most current web browsers come with the Flash Player plugin installed). To move between chatrooms Simply click the 'View Roomlist' button in the chat toolbar, this will display a full list of all the chatrooms available. You can click on a specific chatroom to see who is participating. When you decide on which room you'd like to join click 'JOIN ROOM' and start chatting! You can only be in one room at a time but you can easily skip from room to room using the View Roomlist option.

If you are in a chat room your profile name and details will appear in the room's user list window to the right of the main chat area. You do not have to join in the chat - but it's more fun if you do!

In order to change the font attributes you use the 'Style' menu options. These are located above the text input area. Click on the black square icon to choose colour. The "B" and "i" buttons allow you to make your text bold and/or italic. A choice of emoticons is also available!

To view a profile summary of another user simply click on their name in the room's user list or in the main chat window and a summary will appear in the 'USERS' window above the users list. To find out more choose 'Advanced search' from the main site menu and use the search facility to locate their full FlirtXchange profile.

The information shown about you in the chat room is taken from your profile and can not be defined by you. Only your Personal Number, profile photo/cam stream, username, age and location will be shown.

Whispers are private messages sent between users that appear within the chat window, but are only seen by the two people sending and receiving them. To Whisper another user, click their username from the user list or the main chat window, and then select the "Whisper" button located beneath their profile information in the 'USERS' window. Type the text you want to send in the usual way, as if to appear in the chatroom. Your whisper message appears in the main chat window but will only be viewable between you and the user you sent the 'Whisper' to.

The site offers the latest chatroom technology which allows you to view live videos of up to four other members at once while you are chatting. To initiate multiple video streams click on another member who has video (cam icon to the right of their name). When their stream appears in the 'USERS' window, click on the 'dock' icon located beneath their stream. They will move into your viewing area. Repeat the process and soon your viewing gallery will have up to three live video streams. The fourth can be viewed in the 'USERS' window.

If you need to report abuse or inappropriate behaviour you can log in to the 'Need Help?' room where you will soon be joined by a moderator. You can chat anonymously if you wish by clicking on the Moderator's name in either the user list field or within the chatroom window and selecting the 'Whisper' function.

You can update your Shout from the "My Page" section of the website by simply clicking on "Change Shout" option. If you are on the move simply text the word FLIRT followed by your message to 81148 (standard message cost, message length limited to one short SMS message) For example "FLIRT Hi back from hols, call me for some fun!"

Only the most recently uploaded Shout Messages scroll along the top of the site. Each time you upload a new Shout Message it automatically becomes eligible for scrolling. If your Shout message contained inappropriate content like an expletive, or alternative contact details it will have been deleted. We suggest you keep it short, to the point and clean! You can always view all shouts by clicking on the "View all Shouts" link at the top right corner of the site just under the log-in button.

A Flirt Number is an 'anonymous' telephone number (similar to a mobile number) that forwards calls to your real mobile or landline phone. FlirtXchange users or even friends can call your Flirt Number from anywhere in the world and will never know your real landline or mobile number. Your Flirt Number Voicebox accompanies the Flirt Number and can be activated to take messages when you'd prefer not to take calls. By registering on our site www.flirtxchange.com you will be issued with your very own Flirt Number absolutely free! Your personal Flirt number is unique to you.

Upon registering with the FlirtXchange website you are issued with your own personal Flirt Number absolutely free.

Calls to a Flirt Number are charged at a per-minute rate which varies depending upon the caller's network provider. For example when a caller contacts you from a BT landline, the call cost is 50 pence a minute. Calls from other networks and international calls will vary in rates - check with your provider for up to date information on their charges

Upon registering with the FlirtXchange website, your profile and thumbnail featuring your Flirt Number will become viewable on the site. Your 'Shout', accompanied by your Flirt Number, scrolls along the top of the site. You can also give your Flirt Number out on other websites, in chat rooms, or when you're out and about! Your number can be used on ANY website or other service where you want to accept calls or voicemail messages, but do not want to reveal your actual mobile or landline number!

If you want to record a personalised greeting for callers, then simply call your own Flirt Number from your registered phone. The very first time you call your Flirt Number, to check your messages for example, you will be prompted to record a personalised greeting. You can choose to ignore this request if you wish, but we recommend you do so. You will get better responses from other members and also collect another 200 free wallet points when you do!

At the point of deleting your profile the Flirt Number you were issued with is also deleted. You can however get a new Flirt Number at any time by making a new site registration.

Flirt Numbers are private for you and for callers as no personal numbers are displayed. As such, your real phone number will not show when calling another Flirt Number.

If you call a Flirt Number from the number you have registered on FlirtXchange your own Flirt Number will display on their phone as caller ID.

If you call a Flirt Number from a non registered number then the flirt number of the person you are calling will display on their phone.

If the caller has a Flirt number themselves then their Flirt Number will show as the caller ID. Flirt Numbers begin with the prefix 0701 - this identifies that a call is coming through via the FlirtXchange service.

Please note: If your phone is turned off, there is a possibility that your personal voicemail will pick up the call (rather than the FlirtXchange voicemail). As such, it's a good idea to not put any personal information or your phone number on your personal voicemail. In the case of PAYG we recommend that you record a voicemail greeting so the network default message stating your phone number does not play. Alternatively, if you turn your phone off, you can forward all of your calls to your Flirt Number voicemail.

You can change the number that your Flirt Number calls and messages are forwarded to at any time. Go to 'My Page' and select 'Edit" in your Profile or "Edit Registered Number" in your Flirt Number box.

If you choose Edit Profile, Select 'Change Flirt Number Settings" and choose a verification option. To register a new mobile number you need to text the verification code displayed to you from the NEW mobile phone number. To register a landline number, enter the new forwarding number in to the "phone number" field and follow the verification process.

Yes, Flirt Numbers can currently forward calls to destinations around the world. When changing your forwarding number to an international number there is no need to start the number with a +. For example, for the US, put in 1 then the area code and the number.

We need to verify your phone number each time you change it in order to ensure that you are the owner of that phone. This requires you being there to accept the verification call. This procedure ensures that everybody you call is a genuine FlirtXchange user who has signed up to the service.

If you have forgotten your password only all you need to do is click on the 'forgotten password' link located beneath the 'Login' field. You will be asked to enter your email address and your password will be emailed to you.

If your username appears different to the name you registered this is because it was deemed unacceptable for the site. Usernames containing expletives will be changed. You can change your username at anytime but please keep it clean!

Check to make sure the image is a .gif or .jpg file. Currently the site supports jpg photos, the standard for almost all digital cameras and camera phones. If you have a photo in another format, try saving it as jpg from within your photo editing software. The file name of the image should be short and not include strange characters. For example, paris.jpg would work. A file name that likely wouldn't work is something along the lines of *GR8GeoffreymissesParisflight!!!!*.jpg Also check the size of the image as images must be less than 500K in size. If you still can't upload the photo, the image may be corrupted.

To change your profile photo:

1. Log in to the site
2. Click on 'My Page' from the top navigation bar.
3. Click on 'Edit" Profile
4. Click on 'Add / Edit Profile Picture"
5. Select upload a JPG file (you can also choose to select an avatar from our image gallery).
6. Click on the 'Browse' tab and find the jpeg you wish to upload from your computer files.

All profile images are moderated prior to being displayed on the site. We need to do this to ensure that copyright and explicit images are not displayed and it may take some time before your image appears on your profile. If you still have problems with your image not appearing after 24hrs it's likely your image was not deemed suitable for the site and hence your profile shows as the default image. You can change your profile image at any time from MyPage. Note that it can take up to 10minutes for your picture to be moderated, so please be patient

All new video profiles are moderated to ensure they do not include content of an illegal or unacceptable nature. If your video is not appearing on your profile within a couple of hours it most likely has been rejected because it was explicit. Nudity or obvious sexual suggestion is not permitted. Be warned that if you upload content of an illegal nature you may be banned from the site!

Just follow the online prompts as if you are making a recording for the first time. When you get to the end you will be asked whether you want to replace the existing recording. Click REPLACE to overwrite it.

Once your video has been moderated and uploaded the video icon on your profile becomes highlighted and active. Your profile will also show up in the search results when a member searches 'Users with Video'. You could also invite other users to check out your profile video in your Shout Message, when in chatrooms (not just flirtXchange.com!), on the chatline - whenever or however the opportunity arises!

Choose which bundle you would like to purchase and click 'Buy'. You will then be requested to complete a standard credit card online transaction through our secure card processing partner.

You must enter the security code on the back of your credit card during the payment procedure as a security measure. Entering the code helps protect against fraudulent use of your credit card number. Responsible internet sites are helping credit card companies reduce fraud by complying with this security request. We cannot process your order unless you enter a valid 3-digit security code. For extra security Ampay do not store your three digit security/CVV2 code anywhere on our systems. Your code is transmitted to your bank and immediately deleted from our records.

Our policy is not to provide refunds unless we consider in our sole discretion that extraordinary circumstances apply. In the event that we issue a refund then this shall be made by crediting the credit or debit card that was used by you to make the purchase. No refunds shall be made by cash or cheque.

Yes, you may pay with different credit cards on the same account.

Credit card transactions are made in GBP, Euro or USD depending on your location. If your credit card account is in another currency then you will most likely see a different amount on your statement. The exchange rate used is controlled by your credit card provider and not us.

During the purchase process an authorization request is sent to your credit card issuer to check that sufficient funds are available. This sometimes shows up as a booking or reservation on your credit card statement. It is not an actual charge.

If the purchase subsequently fails, we cancel your transaction and remove this reservation. Some credit card issuers may not immediately show the transaction as removed, even if it has been. We assure you that if the transaction is declined funds are not withdrawn from your credit card.

This process depends on the nature of your bank's integration with credit card companies. Sometimes it can take up to 72 hours to clear these transactions from your statement, but usually the time period is much shorter.

We need to prevent fraudsters from using our service. Our security measures are very strict and unfortunately this means that a few genuine users may experience a problem getting through the transaction process. An error message in a txt top-up could have occurred for any number of reasons such as an unrecognizable number, blocked number, lack of pre-pay funds available or a system error. You will be charged by your network operator for a standard txt message (or this could be free based on your plan); you will not be charged for the top-up.

You may receive up to three or more text messages per transaction: one message to notify you of your request, another to confirm your order once it has cleared and a billing message. This is to keep you informed of your order as it is being processed.

A FlirtXchange widget is a web banner that advertises your Flirt Number. It also displays your username, mood emoticon and current call status (i.e. whether you are accepting live calls or transferring calls to voicemail). By embedding your FlirtXchange widget on other web pages you can increase the visibility of your Flirt Number - so that more people see it, increasing your chances of making new friends!

Go to My Page and select Flirt Number Widget from the Options menu. Here you can see your very own personalized widget! This is how it will appear on any web page you embed it.

You can embed the widget anywhere you would like to 'advertise' your Flirt Number, as long as you 'own' the area, for example on a blog.

Simply copy and paste the code provided into any area on any website that allows you to paste the code.

Yes you can. Just go to the design tab for your blog and click 'Choose Content Selections'. You should be able to delete the widget from there. Alternatively, all you need to do is delete the code from wherever you have pasted it.

Currently the Flirt Number Widget will not work on Myspace or Facebook, however we are working on developing a widget compatible with a wide range of social networking sites - coming soon!

With all this chatting and making friends it is possible that you may want to take the online "relationship" further. If this is how you feel you should follow some basic safe dating rules to ensure that you keep your online dating/chatting experience happy and safe. You have probably heard these from your friends and some of the tips may look very obvious but still try to follow as many of them as possible.

The most important thing you must remember is to always keep your personal details safe.

-> Do not publish your phone number or email address in personal ads or on your profile. Do not reveal your full name, telephone number, real email address, URL, work or home address in chat rooms or over the phone.

Take your time to know your new "friends". Use your common sense and don't be quick to judge.

-> Don't take everything at face value - as everywhere there are always people out there who lie and misrepresent themselves.

-> Ask as many questions as possible to help you get to know FlirtXchange users better. Sometimes people may seem too good to be true and they probably are - do not let them get away with being vague or refuse to answer basic questions.

-> Do not get involved in conversations that make you uncomfortable. Make sure that you feel comfortable and safe at all times whoever you are chatting to (in chat rooms or over the phone).

-> If someone is abusive to you in chat rooms or over the phone block them straight away and report them to supervisors or chat room moderators.

-> If someone is pushing to meet don't be in a rush to get out the door! Try calling the person first for a while and see how this goes. You can also choose to divert all incoming calls to voicemail instead and pick up your messages anytime you want. This will help you sort the "good" from the "bad" users and will give you time to decide who do you want to talk to. If someone leaves their real phone number in a message and urges you to call them do not do it, however if you do decide to do it you should make sure you block your ID so that your personal phone number does not display when you make the call. Alternatively you can call from a payphone or get the user to register his own Flirt Number where you can call him or leave messages.

A 'Call Back' enables you to connect to our services without dialling in, this feature is ideal if you are calling from outside the UK or you find that you are unable to connect via your phone network. Simply register your phone number with the site, request a Call Back (on line or via text) and our system calls you - connecting you direct! You 'pay' with your Wallet Points. Call back to FlirtXchange member chat costs 25 points per minute if you pay with wallet points, 50 points per minute to 07 numbers and 130 points per minute to 09 numbers
